California's National Parks are usually presented as scenery. Here they are read as weather machines: a coast forest watered by fog, a volcano holding winter into summer, two deserts divided by elevation, and a Sierra ramp that climbs from foothill heat to the highest ground in the lower forty-eight.

What the numbers mean

Each profile uses existing Golden State Weather place stations. Their NOAA IDs, elevations and substitutions remain visible on the linked place pages.
Relief stays visible
A valley station is not relabelled as an alpine forecast. Several reference stations are shown precisely because each park crosses more than one climate.
Official conditions remain official
This is climatology, not a trail-opening or hazard feed. Every profile links directly to the National Park Service for current conditions.
